About the Artist

Artist TeddyKool born as Theldious Mitchell in Louisburg,North Carolina. He grew up in the rural areas of Raleigh,North Carolina living on farm land. From the time he could remember Teddy would hear his dad playing blues on an accoustic six string guitar around the house and for his friends. Teddy would watch his dad in amazement and wondered if he could someday learn to play like his dad.Teddy managed to earn a small wage working on the farm at 11 years old and with the help of his parents, bought his first bass guitar, and small amplifier and a beginner's book on learning to play the bass guitar by Mel Bay.He was so excited and practiced everyday!

The Music

The first band that TeddyKool played in was called Black Visions in Raleigh North Carolina at the tender young age of 14. Teddy played for small parties, weddings and anywhere anyone was willing to listen. By the time Teddy reached the age of 19, he became increasingly dissatisfied with the music game and sold all his equipment and joined the United States Air Force. After spending 4 years in the military,Teddy settled in Tampa,Florida and decided to go to college to earn his degree in Electronics and Computer Science. At age of 30 , Teddy once again decided to form another band. He joined up with an R&B dance band called i2i, but it failed. So Teddy turned back to his roots and what he had seen as a child growing up in North Carolina, his father playing the blues. He formed a little blues band called the Blues Runners and played small shows around Newport Richey,FL. By this time Teddy wanted to rock , so he joined a hard rock group called King George that played all the hard driving rock-n-roll from the 60's era. Then he later formed another band with some guys at the factory where he worked doing electronics repair called Nightwing, and they played classic rock. A year later ,Teddy joined another group called Ivory Tyger with Mike Leonard. Ivory Tyger was one of the most impressive bands that Teddy had ever played in , but Mike, the band's founder, died an untimely death in 1994. Without a band, Teddy floundered around for about a year and then joined up with a band called Eve-n-Energy. Teddy held down a fat bottom bass line that left audiences amazed at his ability to play southern rock. When Eve left the band , Teddy changed the name to Wild Energy and single handedly produced his first CD titled "Time After Time". an easy listening collection of his own music that is heavily influenced by Rock,R&B and Folk styles. Currently, Teddy is hard at work producing his next CD and is still performing with The Wild Energy Band on weekends in the St. Petersburg,Florida area.
